The Ivory Room in downtown Columbus provided the backdrop for the wedding ceremony and reception. Griffin’s Floral Design coordinated closely with the venue to execute all elements of the event design, with spectacular results. The Ivory Room, located on the sixth floor of the Miranova Building, provides a distinct atmosphere with phenomenal views of the city, as well as the Scioto and Olentangy Rivers. Oversized spaces and soaring window walls create a blank slate which can be designed for a wide spectrum of events, not just wedding receptions.
The elegant black, white and silver palette of the wedding was crisp and sophisticated – with a touch of Star Wars (because who doesn’t love a stormtrooper in their wedding photos?) Griffin’s Floral Design utilized white and cream roses and hydrangea for the bouquets, hydrangea and calla lilies for the ceremony flowers and centerpieces, and roses and phalaenopsis orchids for the sweetheart table.
